When someone wants to operate a business within North Hanover
Township, they must apply for a mercantile license. These
licenses expire on December 31st of each year regardless of the
time of application. Licenses must be renewed every year.
Applications and renewals are reviewed on an annual business by
all departments prior to being sent to the governing body for
approval.
Registration as a Landlord - Registration Form This is a State requirement per N.J.S.A. 46:8-27 This is done to protect both the landlord and tenant in the event of an emergency. There is no charge to register and the form needs to be updated when any information required on the form changes. Form is also available at the Office of the Municipal Clerk.
